Welcome

Hello and welcome to Creatively Homemaking. It's been on my heart for a while now to start a blog devoted to mothers and wives to share with them tips and ideas for home management. Although I have have only been married 2 1/2 years and only have one small child, I have learned so much in these last few years regarding this topic.

We have all made our mistakes when it comes to learning how to effectively accomplish all we need to do in one day, on top of taking care of the children, preparing dinner, finding money saving deals, and so much more. I know I have. Trying to cram too much into one day. Spending too much at the grocery store. Not comparison shopping. Lack of organization. You get the picture.

Over the last few months I have been researching, trying new strategies, and putting into practice new ways of keeping our home running smoothly. It all started because I was convicted about how much we were spending on food each month. It was an area that was my responsibility because I do the grocery shopping. I immediately began finding ways to save through comparison shopping and yes, clipping coupons. I've NEVER been a coupon clipper, but I have had a change of heart. You really can save a lot, especially at Kroger where they double and triple coupons. (I'll have plenty of posts and information on how to use coupons!)

This sparked a whole new fire in me to get our whole home reorganized. I've always been a very organized person, but we needed organization under the surface. Our bill paying system, time management, our calendar, etc. With a 7 month old, you can't just fly by the seat of your pants. You need a routine. Some structure. And because I love all things creative, I have tried to put a fun twist on my new tactics.

I have seen some huge changes in the way I do things around the home during the day. I won't go into all of them on this post because, well, that's the whole point of this blog. I have some very helpful and fun ideas to share with all of you and can't wait for you to join in as well. I have asked another organized, creative wife and mom to join in on this venture and co-author the blog with me. If she decides to dive in with us, we'll have even more input and ideas to learn from!

Thanks so much for visiting! Please leave a comment and let me know what you think so far!
